Rules of Enrollment for University Entrants

Admission Procedure

1. People wishing to apply to TSMU should complete the   Application Form   and email it   together   with the   copy of passport   and   copy of High (Secondary) School Certificate   to International Students Office   info@tsmu.com.ua

2. After receiving the   Application Form   an official invitation for studying at TSMU will be sent to your correspondence address. The invitation should be submitted to the Embassy of Ukraine in your country for the purpose of receiving a student visa.

3. After obtaining the student visa you must inform the International Students Office of TSMU about the exact date of your arrival in   Ukraine   and your flight number.

4. Upon your arrival at   Ternopil   State   Medical   University   you should submit the   Application Pack   to the International Students Office,   then   you will be invited for an interview.

Apllication   Pack   (to be submitted to the International Students Office personally)

o           application form, indicating the chosen   speciality ;

o           high (secondary) school certificate (original or verified copy);

o           birth certificate;

o           health certificate;

o           HIV-negative test certificate;

o           8 photos (3x4 cm);

o           passport.

5. The admission procedure will be completed after you sign an agreement with the University and pay your tuition fee for the 1st year of studies.

6. After being enrolled as a student at TSMU you receive an official permission enabling you to register in Police Registration Office.

Period of training:   6 years
Annual tuition fee:
instruction in Russian or Ukrainian - $ 2800;
instruction in English - $ 3500  

Admission  
Medical Faculty (General Medicine specialization)   Application deadline: September 30
Academic year (2 semesters): September 1- June 30
Period of training: 6 years

Faculty of Dentistry

Application deadline:   October 30
Academic year (2 semesters):   September/November 15 th to -June 30
Period of training:   5 years
Annual tuition fee:
instruction in Russian or Ukrainian - $ 2800
instruction in English - $ 3600

Faculty of Pharmacy (The Faculty of Pharmacy offers specialities \'Pharmacy\' and \'Clinical Pharmacy)

Application deadline:   October 30
Academic year (2 semesters):   September/November 15 th to -June 30

Period of training:   5 years.
Annual tuition fee:
instruction in Russian and Ukrainian - $ 2800
instruction in English - $ 3600


Nursing School ( International Nursing School or American Nursing School )

Application deadline:   October 30
Academic year (2 semesters):   September/November 15 th to -June 30

Period of training:
Junior specialist program:   2 years
Bachelor degree program:   4 years
Bachelor degree program for students having ADN (2 or 3 years) degree:   2 years
Annual tuition fee:
instruction in English - $ 3500.

Post-Graduate Education


Graduates of the Medical Faculty can continue their education at the Faculty of Post-Graduate Education by the following specialities:

•  therapeutics

•  gastroenterology

•  endocrinology

•  cardiology

•  surgery

•  pediatric surgery

•  urology

•  oncology

•  traumatology

•  pediatrics

•  obstetrics and gynecology

•  infectious diseases

•  otorhinolaryngology

•  ophthalmology

•  neurology

Period of training: 3 years
Instruction in Russian or Ukrainian

Annual tuition fee: $ 3500
Period of training: 3 years
Instruction in English.
Annual tuition fee: $ 4000

Preparatory Department



Students who wish to receive training in Ukrainian or Russian language are enrolled to the Preparatory Department. A 10-month preparatory program provides Ukrainian or Russian language courses, as well as chemistry, informatics, mathematics, physics and biology upgrading courses. The courses start on November 1.

After successful completion of the preparatory program students are admitted to the Medical, Pharmaceutical or Dentistry Faculties.

Application deadline:   November 30
Academic year:   November 15 th - August
Period of training:   40 weeks (2 semesters)
Annual tuition fee:   $ 1500

Accommodation:  

Hostel charges per year: $ 500-800

It is the responsibility of the student to be familiar with the University regulations and financial matters. Ternopil State Medical University  cannot make adjustments to any fees without the permission of the administration.

 Foreign students who are entering the first course have to pay their full fees for the whole academic year. From the following academic years student can pay their tuition fees for each semester.

Apart from the tuition fees students are bound to pay Visa Support Letter , Health Insurance, Accommodation, Admission and Registration fee, Airport pick up, Transportation to school to Intermediary Firm. The student must pay Intermediary Firm's Consultancy charges as agreed.
