Tuition fees: 7 650 UAH per year;
Master’s Training – 7 800 UAH per year;
Internship – 798 UAH per month.
Number of students: 487, among them 336 in the speciality of "Pharmacy", 131 in the speciality of "Clinical Pharmacy", 20 in the speciality of "Perfumery and Cosmetics Technology", 52 foreign students in the speciality of "Pharmacy". Faculty of Pharmacy was founded in 2000 by the rector’s initiative. The first admission for the licensed speciality of "Pharmacy" consisted of 70 students. Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ass. prof. Svitlana M. Marchyshyn was appointed as the first dean of the Faculty. Later on Ass. prof. L.V.Vronska, Prof. T.A.Hroshovy were the deans of the Faculty, Nowadays, the faculty is headed by Ass. Professor L.V. Sokolova. There are 4 specialized departments of the Faculty and 22 departments participate in the teaching process of the Faculty.
From the history of our Faculty:
in 2000
the speciality of "Pharmacy" was licensed and 75 students were admitted;
the department of Biology, Genetics and Medical Botany was organized (headed by Ass. prof. S.M. Marchyshyn)
in 2001
the speciality of "Clinical Pharmacy" was licensed with the admission of 50 students;
the department of Chemistry was organized (headed by Ass. prof. L.V.Vronska)
in 2002
the speciality of "Perfumery and Cosmetics Technology" was licensed;
the department of Chemical Pharmaceutical disciplines (headed by prof. L.M.Romanyshyna) and the Department of Pharmocognosy (headed by prof. L.S. Fira) were organized.
in 2003
9 students were admitted on the speciality of "Perfumery and Cosmetics Technology";
the departments of pharmaceutical disciplines (headed by prof. T.A.Hroshovy), and Pharmaceutical, Analytical and Toxicological Chemistry (headed by Ass. prof. L.V.Vronska) were organized on the basis of the department of Chemical Pharmaceutical disciplines .
in 2005
the speciality of "Pharmacy" was accredited.
in 2006
the internship in the specialities of "Pharmacy" and "Clinical Pharmacy" was licensed;
the speciality of "Clinical Pharmacy" was accredited;
Master’s Training in the specialities of "Pharmacy" and "Clinical Pharmacy" was licensed;
the extramural training in the speciality of "Pharmacy" was licensed;
the certificate for state registration of a specialized magazine “Pharmaceutical Periodical” was received.

Dynamics of Students’ contingent
in 2000: 75 students in the speciality of "Pharmacy";

in 2002: 317 students in the specialities of "Pharmacy" , " Clinical Pharmacy" and "Perfumery and Cosmetics Technology";

Our graduates
in 2005 there were 64 first graduates in the specialities of "Pharmacy"
in 2006 there were 94 Ukrainian and 11 foreign students-graduates in the speciality of "Pharmacy", and first graduation of 44 students in the speciality of " Clinical Pharmacy".
The results of test integrated examinations “Krok 1 and 2” "Pharmacy"
in 2003 – the first place in passing integrated test examinations “Krok 1” "Pharmacy" - students in the speciality of "Pharmacy";
in 2004 – the III place in passing integrated test examinations “Krok 2” "Pharmacy" - students in the speciality of "Pharmacy";
in 2005 – the first place in passing integrated test examinations “Krok 1” "Pharmacy" - students in the speciality of " Clinical Pharmacy";
in 2006 – the competition was not held, but the result is successful “Krok 1” "Pharmacy" – 77,9% students in the specialities of "Pharmacy" , " Clinical Pharmacy".
All-Ukrainian students’ contests in Pharmacy
in 2004 – the Diploma for the best knowledge in Pharmacy and drug technology at the All-Ukrainian students’ contest in Pharmacy – Olha Pavkh;
in 2005 – the first place at the All-Ukrainian students’ contest in Pharmacy and drug technology and the III place in drug technology of industrial production –Olha Novakovska;
in 2006 – the III place at the All-Ukrainian students’ contest in Pharmacy (including 6 disciplines: Pharmacy drug technology, drug technology of industrial production, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmocognosy, organization and economic of Pharmacy), the II place in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the III place in drug technology of industrial production – Andriy Hinka.
Conferences
in 2003 – the International Congress “Medicine - health of the XXI century” (Dnipropetrovsk) - Diploma for the best report (O.Lozynska)
in 2004, 2005 – the VII, IX International Congress of students and Young scientists (Ternopil) - Diploma for the best report (O.Pavkh);
in 2006 – the X International students’ Congress (Ternopil) - the first place (M.Pavlyuk).
Teaching Staff
To solve the problem of the teaching staff for the newly formed Faculty the following policy was worked out:
5specialists from the basic higher educational institutions were invited and provided with accommodation - prof. T.A.Hroshovy, Ass. prof. L.V. Sokolova, Ass.prof. D.B.Korobko, Ass. prof. V.I.Hnidets, Ass. prof. L.V.Vronska;
in 2006 5 teachers obtained higher pharmaceutical education and received the Diploma of Pharmaceutist - prof. L.S. Fira, prof. I.M.Klishch, Ass. prof. L.V.Vronska, Ass. prof. H.Y.Zahrychuk, Ass. prof. M.I.Shanayda.
5 pharmaceutists graduated from the National Academy of Pharmacy as Post-graduates, 3 among them defended the candidate’s theses – teachers H.R.Kozyr, M.V.Leleka, O.B.Polyak.
the best graduates were invited after completing their internship.
Methodical work of the teaching process
Annually each specialized department organizes preparation of the educational- methodical documentation for 2-3 new disciplines, 187 syllabi have been worked out during the 6 years, including 65 syllabi in the speciality of "Pharmacy", 62 syllabi in the speciality of "Clinical Pharmacy", and 60 syllabi in the speciality of "Perfumery and Cosmetics Technology". 3 textbooks, 8 manuals, 5 manuals of tests assignments, over 80 methodical instructions were published. Every discipline which is taught at the faculty has its educational- methodical pack that includes syllabus, methodical instructions for the laboratory work, for individual students’ work, for teachers, manual of tests assignments. The teaching staff of the Faculty participated in working out the state standards of higher pharmaceutical education (prof. T.A.Hroshovy, Ass. prof. L.V. Sokolova, Ass. prof. L.V.Vronska; Ass. prof. H.Y.Zahrychuk).
Scientific Work
Research trends of the department:
“Production, standardization, pharmaceutical economics of medical preparations and biologically active substances”;
“Pharmaceutical analysis of medicinal plants”.
Over 200 scientific articles have been published, and 5 patents for the inventions have been received; 3 candidate’s theses were defended for the last three years. 2 doctoral and 8 candidate’s theses are being carried out.
International and All-Ukrainian Conferences
7 conferences have been organized and held.
In 2003 – regional conference “Modern aspects of pharmaceutical activity”, in 2004 – the I International Conference (organized together with the National Academy of Pharmacy of Ukraine) “Production, standardization, pharmaceutical economics of medical preparations and biologically active substances”; in 2005 All-Ukrainian Conferences: “Chemistry of natural substances”, “Main aspects of providing high quality drugs at the Gedeon Richter Plant”; in 2006 - the II International Conference “Production, standardization, pharmaceutical economics of medical preparations and biologically active substances” (organized and held together with the National Academy of Pharmacy of Ukraine in Kharkiv) “Production, standardization, pharmaceutical economics of medical preparations and biologically active substances”.
