The educational-scientific Institute of Modeling and Pathological Processes Analyzing was founded by the decision of the Academic Council of I.Ya.Horbachevchy Ternopil State Medical University from June 8, 2005 Minutes №14 and the rector’s order № 201 from the 8th of June 2005. The Institute began to function on July 15, 2005. It includes the Department of Pathological Physiology, Department of Medicine of Catastrophe and Military Medicine, Department of Biophysics, Department of Computer Studies, Foreign Languages and Social Sciences.
The Institute occupies University building №6. In order to provide Institute activity of all branches the Academic Council and Cyclic Methodological Commission were organized.
